I have also recently acquired a few envelopes of mint postcard from Erevan, Armenian SSR and Tblisi, Georgian SSR, they are from the mid 70s They should be here

We are at the Aruba airport, waiting for the

plane to arrive from Haiti. It is going to be

2 hours late, Seems that the airlines just

can't get themselvs organited, What Fums(?) me

up is the fact that they called us early

today at the hotel to mell me the flight

would be leaving early, So we got here at

3:45 PM only to discover the plane wont get

here until 7PM, So I thought I'd spent the

time writing a letter to you

We've has a wonderful time, and would

like to stay here rather than return to

the snow & ice of N.Y. We were very

lucky to have left when we did, as we

missed all the mess last week.

My friend, Mils Croes, is so president of

the big carnival, and he got us the nice

seats at the Miss Aruba beauty contest.

Heala helped us meet some Americans

down here, so we ended up knowing a

lot of near friends.

This is a beautiful island, with white

sand beaches. Unfortunately, the white

beaches on the west side of the island

are mostly used for the hotels.

Annie really enjoyed the water, and

got a good tan, So did Maué(?), althought she

is mostly red. I'm dark, as usual

I expect to see you in a few weeks, and

will phone you of course before I leave.

P.S. Ann can't wait to get back to NY to see

her dog Pixie. She's afraid the dog will have

forgotten her. and I doubt it.

Recieved at Postoffice: Christmas day 25/12/1992

This cover was sent from the Nuclear Icebreaker "Arktika", by a sailor who worked for the Murmansk Shipping company; ID- SK-5/31.
It's also one of my Favorite covers, because its so cramped with postmarks, event handstamps, ETC. It's also what i call a "Post-Mortem" Cover, because the Envelope was issued in the USSR, but the cover was sent in the Russian Federation.
